Venting About The ME3 Ending

Well, I would just like to vent a little about what Mass Effect 3.

During the last three months before March 6, 2012. I was in the process of Completing my Last Senior Level class in College. One thing about my College is that the Final class is a group project, and my team was really not a great team. One thing That got me through those Months was (besides a lot of beer and boos) was the anticipation of Getting to Play Mass Effect 3 and the thought of enjoying playing it for a long time.

As time went on I Am proud to say I completed my degree with honors, (not high honors like some of my friends that are just over achievers, lol, jk, I love them all the same, and I am proud of their achievement and they know who they are.)

After that I had to go on a business trip that helped me learn new things about my career, but sadly, the trip kept me away from Mass Effect 3. When March 6, 2012 came around I was still out of town and a friend of mine was with me and we watched the midnight launch and replayed Mass effect 2 in our spare time. When I finally got back home, I opened my collectors edition of Mass Effect 3 and played for four straight days, then when I helped every blasted person and made sure I got all the stuff needed to save earth, Hell I even went to star bucks to play the multiplayer and made sure I got 100% for my readiness. I started to go after the Illusive man and finish the game.

Once I finished the game, (spoiler alert)

and I saw the boy, (which at the time I was like, wtf, okay, bioware where are you going with this?)

The boy talked about destroying the reapers which could kill Shepard, (I was mentally saying, okay that’s a no, not gonna choose that) then the boy talked about how Shepard could control the reapers but was going to lose everything, (I was mentally saying, okay no, my Shepard hates the reapers, not going to control them) and then the last thing the boy said was I could just kill myself by making everyone the same with my DNA, and at that point I out loudly said Fuck That..

So after I study the guide book, yes I can’t believe I am saying this but I reread the guide like 10 different times and decided to go with red and kill the reapers. I killed all the geth, so that time I spent with legion and tali was wasted, and if I chose Red (to kill the reapers) I killed EDI, joker’s girl. Then there was the Mass relays getting destoryed, which was upsetting, but I had over 5,000 and my Shepard was a paragon. I was hoping that I would live just like guide said I would.

So I chose Red, and then I see the reapers die (which I wanted), the mass Relay gets destroyed (which I knew would happen) But then the Normandy gets hit? Why the Normandy? why the hell was it not still by Earth? Last line I heard was that Normandy was going back to be with sword, not go traveling through the mass relay. And then the worst of it to me was that All I see is my Shepard take a breath and that’s the end!?!

After staring at my computer screen for a half hour, wondering if I may have made a bad choice or if I forgot to do something in the game that could have given me a different ending.. I talked to my friend and my friend kind of had the same thing, (my friend through pick different options and had a totally different character than mine) so I opened up the web and started to research what the heck happened. And found out that Bioware just made the ending like that, sigh….

Maybe Bioware is indoctrinated and this is the Reapers doing?

Anyway, my venting is done, thank you to all who read, I mean besides the ending *shakes fist, mumbling* the game was great and fun, hopefully the rumors are true about Bioware making a new DLC fan ending. If not, then I think Bioware may loses some fans and maybe in trouble, by the fans from what I have seen on the internet. (jk)
